Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of the breast are very rare. They represent less than 1% of breast carcinomas. It is important to differentiate metastatic neuroendocrine neoplasia from primary neuroendocrine neoplasia of the breast. Histopathological misinterpretation of a breast NET is common.
